Online and Face to face classes now available.
During the first lockdown I ran a free weekly class for my existing students. This has been a wonderful way to keep our connection to Yoga and each other. Once this became the “new normal” I opened up my weekly online Zoom classes to new students, moving them to a Tuesday evenings 5.45-6.45pm and keeping the cost realistic at £5 per class. See Class times for more details.
Yoga for back pain… Yoga for mental health… yoga for your whole body
As someone that came to Yoga because of lower back pain, I am a great advocate for yoga as a tool to manage back pain and strengthen the spine while bringing greater flexibility of movement.
Yoga for mental health: Due to the nature of Yoga and its focus on the breath, there is a natural meditative side affect of yoga as you practice. An internal focus that helps to bring your awareness to how you are feeling and gives you the tools to manage those repetitive anxious thoughts. You will find that although we may focus on particular areas of the body, your mind gets an amazing calming kick back that is difficult to beat.

About Me

My first ever yoga experience was a revelation, I left the class that Friday feeling like I was floating on air. The relaxed, calm and happy sensation lasted into the weekend. From that day 8 years ago I have practiced Yoga regularly and wished I had found it sooner.
Originally a Hull girl I have lived in Leicester since moving to study at Leicester University. I then started working for a company producing Theatre Programmes for the West End followed by a career break to look after my family. When the children started to get more independent, I realised I needed to start the journey back into work that would still fit around the family. Yoga was the one thing in life that sang to me. After extensive practice I decided it was time to pass on the same enjoyment and satisfaction that I felt to others. I then trained in Sun Power Yoga and SPYKIDS Yoga.
I really believe that yoga is for everyone no matter of size, flexibility or fitness. What I love the most is witnessing the progression of students from novice to experienced as their bodies and minds are transformed. Sun salutes are definitely my favourite part of practice, but I always incorporate breath work into my classes to rein in the mind, whilst creating a light-hearted and welcoming atmosphere.
